About Us

The Gateway Bed and Breakfast is located in Newport, Kentucky. We are just 4 blocks from the entertainment and restaurants of Newport on the Levee and a short 5-minute drive from all the attractions of downtown Cincinnati, Ohio.

This intimate and elegant B&B is located in the heart of the East Row Historic District, the second largest local historic district in Kentucky. The Victorian era was Newport's most affluent period, as is evident by the East Row's elegant homes, all of which have the distinction of being listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Thanks to careful restoration, these homes look much the same as they did more than 100 years ago. A walk through the East Row's quiet tree-lined streets can easily transport you back to the late 19th Century. Yet Just blocks away, the city's redeveloped riverfront and northern business district thrives with the all the entertainment, dining, and cultural attractions of Riverboat Row and Newport on the Levee.

The beautifully restored and antique-filled Gateway Bed and Breakfast features a luxurious blend of modern-day amenities combined with the charm and ambiance of an era gone by. Whether you visit the Northern Kentucky or the Cincinnati area for business or pleasure, your stay in this unique Victorian guest house is sure to be one of the highlights of your trip.

"This restored 1800s home is wonderful! Sandy and Ken have taken great care to make stays outstanding - breakfasts, company & location were perfect. About 4 blocks from Newport on the Levee and 1 mile from the Cincinnati Reds stadium (via walking bridge). Walking in the area is very safe and the house is well secured. We never took our car out all weekend."
